Find your way around FocusPilot

FocusPilot has four tabs: Home, Goals, Journal and Insights. The + at the right end of the tab bar starts a goal, a journal entry, Today’s Read or a Mentor chat from any of them, and your Profile opens from your picture at the top right of Home.

The four tabs

• Home: your day, with the week, your three goal rings, For today and your streak.
• Goals: your goals and their tasks.
• Journal: your entries and check-ins.
• Insights: your Focus Score, Trajectory and charts.

Where is my Profile?

Your Profile is not a tab. Tap your picture at the top right of Home to open it, and close it with the X. Your settings, notifications, subscription and support links are all there.

What does the + button do?

The + at the right end of the tab bar opens six choices:

1. Journal opens a menu with every kind of journal page.
2. Goal opens a new goal card on the Goals tab.
3. For today opens your list for today on Home.
4. Today’s Read starts this morning’s questions, or opens your read if it is done.
5. Ask Mentor opens a Mentor chat with the keyboard up.
6. Mentor Brief opens your current Brief.

If your subscription or trial has ended, the + opens the plans screen instead.

What are the tips on my screen?

The first time you reach a screen after setup, a small tip may point at one of its controls, such as the timeframe on Insights. You see one tip per visit, and Got it closes it for good.

To see the tips again:

1. Tap your picture at the top right of Home.
2. In the Support group, tap Show tips again.

Why does my day in FocusPilot start at 4:00?

FocusPilot’s day turns over at 4:00 on your phone’s clock, not at midnight. Between midnight and 4:00 you are still in the day before, so a late night counts as part of the day you were working in.

This applies to Home’s week strip and For today list, to your streak, and to Today’s Read: a new read becomes available at 4:00, so a read you answer at 1:00 still belongs to the day before.
