What is FocusPilot?
Updated
FocusPilot is a performance tracker for your own work, on iPhone and Android. It checks each day against the goals you set, gives the day a Focus Score from 0 to 100, and shows you the next step before a goal slips.
You keep your goals, a journal and your Mentor chats in one app, and you can connect Apple Health or Health Connect if you want sleep and activity in the picture. Each part is described below, with a link to where you learn more.
Goals
A goal is the outcome you want, and its tasks are the steps toward it. Every goal has a category (Professional, Personal or Health) and can have a deadline and a priority from 1 to 4. Each task has its own day.
You can type or paste your notes, dictate them, or add a photo or a file, and Mentor turns them into goals and tasks for you to check before anything is saved. Or you fill in a goal yourself. Once a week, the weekly review shows how much of last week you closed and what keeps slipping.
More in How goals and tasks work.
Today’s Read and Plan My Day
Each morning, Today’s Read asks a few quick questions about your energy, how clear your thinking is and what the day is asking of you. Your answers, together with your goals and recent days, become a read of where you stand today, why, what to expect and the one move to make first.
Plan My Day, at the foot of the read, turns it into two to four timed blocks built from your real tasks.

Mentor
The Mentor is the chat inside FocusPilot. It knows your goals and your recent days, so you can ask what to focus on next, think a decision through or prepare for tomorrow. You can type or talk, and attach a photo or a file. A reply can become a goal or a journal entry.
Open it with the + in the tab bar and Ask Mentor, or from Talk to Mentor in Home’s For today list. More in the Mentor section.
Mentor Brief
When several of your signals point to the same problem, the Mentor writes you a Brief: what it saw, what it costs you and one action plan you can add to your goals. A Brief only comes when a real pattern holds, and at most eight times a month. More in the Mentor section.
Journal
The Journal is for writing about your work. You can start eight kinds of page, from a quick check-in to a decision you read back later, write freely or start from today’s prompt. The Mentor can help you think an entry through, if you allow it. More in the Journal section.
Insights and the Focus Score
Insights shows how your days add up. The Focus Score rates each day from 0 to 100 in four parts: how much of your effort went to your priority goals, how much of today’s plan you closed, your protected focus time, and the clarity you report in Today’s Read. A part that was not measured that day is left out.
Insights also shows your Trajectory, which forms after seven days with scheduled tasks and at least three days with a Today’s Read, your activity, your journal and, if you connect a health app, your sleep. Switch between week, month and year at the top, and tap any bar to read its value. More in the Insights section.
Home
Home is your day at a glance: the week with a check on each day your streak counted, three rings for your Professional, Personal and Health goals this week, everything due today in For today, focus sessions, your journal and a timeline of what you did. You choose which cards Home shows.
More in What’s on the Home screen.
Plans and the free trial
FocusPilot needs a subscription. Every plan starts with a free trial, and you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before. The app shows the price and the trial length before you confirm anything. Apple bills plans bought on iPhone, and Google bills plans bought on Android. More in the Subscription and billing section.
Who is FocusPilot for?
FocusPilot is a personal app for your own work. It is made for people who want to know whether their effort goes into the goals they care about most: professionals, founders and anyone working toward a goal of their own.
There are no team or company accounts. What you enter is yours, and your employer, your colleagues or anyone else you work with cannot see it. You must be at least 13 years old to use FocusPilot.
