Organise goals: List, Calendar, sort and filter
Updated
Open the ⋯ menu at the top left of Goals and tap Display to switch between the List and Calendar layouts, sort and filter your goals, and choose what each row shows.
Switch between List and Calendar
- Open the ⋯ menu at the top left of Goals.
- Tap Display.
- Under the layouts, pick List or Calendar.
List shows your goals as cards, with their open tasks under them.
Calendar shows the current week at the top. Tap Show full month to open the whole month. Below it, every day from today follows in order with its goals and tasks, and each task names the goal it belongs to. Tap a day at the top to jump to it.
In the Calendar, a day’s date is also a shortcut: tap it to open a new goal card with that day already set as the deadline. This works for today and later days. Goals and tasks in the Calendar swipe and press-and-hold the same way they do in the List, and a repeating task appears on every day it occurs.
Weekly planning has a routine for placing next week’s tasks in the Calendar.
Sort, filter and show completed tasks
The Display sheet has three parts.
Sorting, under Sort by:
- Smart ranks by priority, then nearest deadline.
- Category
- Most recent
- Added date
- Progress
Filters:
- by area: Professional, Personal or Health
- by priority: P1 to P4
- by deadline: Today, This week, Next week or Later
Visibility:
- Show completed tasks keeps done tasks under their goal.
- Goal details chooses what a goal row shows, such as its category, priority, status, progress, deadline or comments.
- Task details chooses what a task row shows: priority, duration and time.
Reset all at the end of the sheet clears your sorting, filters and visibility choices. In the List layout, the ⋯ menu also has Show all tasks or Hide all tasks, to open or fold every goal’s tasks at once.
To change a goal’s priority or category, see Edit a goal: priority, category and comments.
