Why didn't my streak count today?
Updated
Your streak counts a day when nothing due that day was left open and you did at least one real action in it. FocusPilot’s day ends at 4:00 on your phone’s clock. If a day did not count, a task or goal due that day usually stayed open, the day held only planning, or the action came between midnight and 4:00. The full rule is in How does the FocusPilot streak work?
Find out why a day did not count
Tap the day on the week strip at the top of Home. The line under Home’s cards gives the reason, for example “No streak that day: a task due that day stayed open.”
Something due that day stayed open
Every task due that day, and any goal whose deadline was that day, has to be done by the end of the day. If a task will not get done, give it a new day before the day ends: a task moved to tomorrow is no longer due today. A paused goal never counts as left open, and neither does a task in your Inbox.
The day held only planning
Creating, editing or rescheduling a goal or task, putting a missed task back, starting a timer and lines you add to For today yourself keep your day organised, but none of them is a real action. The real actions are completing a task or a goal, saving a journal entry, sending the Mentor a message, finishing Today’s Read and adding a Mentor Brief’s plan to your goals.
A Mentor message counts once it goes through. A message that failed is not kept, so it does not count until you send it again.
The action came after midnight
FocusPilot’s day runs from 4:00 to 4:00 in your time zone, so something you do at 1:00 counts for the day before. If you finish a task late at night, it still belongs to the day you were working on.
If a day was missed
The streak starts again from the next day that counts. Your longest streak stays in your streak stats.
