How does the FocusPilot streak work?

Updated

Your streak is the number of days in a row that counted. A day counts when nothing due that day was left open and you did at least one real action, such as completing a task, writing a journal entry or finishing Today’s Read.

When does a day count?

Two things must be true by the end of the day:

  1. Nothing due that day was left open. Every task due that day, and any goal whose deadline was that day, is done.
  2. You did at least one real action. Any of these counts:
    • completing a task
    • completing a goal
    • saving a journal entry
    • sending the Mentor a message
    • finishing Today’s Read
    • adding a Mentor Brief’s plan to your goals

What does not count?

Planning work does not count on its own. Creating a goal or task, editing one or moving it to another day keeps you organised, but nothing has been done yet. Lines you add yourself to For today do not count either, because they are kept only on your phone.

When does the day end?

A day ends at 4:00 on your phone’s clock, not at midnight, so work at 1:00 belongs to the day before.

Why didn’t my streak count today?

On the week strip at the top of Home, each counted day shows a check. A day that did not count shows only its date, with no red mark.

Tap that day and the line under Home’s cards tells you why, for example:

  • “No streak that day: a task due that day stayed open.”
  • “No streak that day: a goal due that day stayed open.”
  • “No streak that day: nothing was completed, written or worked on.”

Where do I see my streak stats?

Tap the streak count at the top left of Home, or the Streak card further down. Your stats open in a sheet.

At the top are four figures: Total days active, Day streak (your current streak), Goals completed and Words written.

Below them, grouped by area:

  • General: Longest streak
  • Journal: Entries, Current streak, Longest streak, Most-used mode
  • Goals: Tasks completed, Best day
  • Mentor: Messages sent, Today’s Reads completed, Coaching cards acted on, Days used, Best Trajectory Score, Main lever

A row appears once there is something to show, so a new account sees fewer rows. The journal’s own streak counts days in a row with a journal entry and is separate from your main streak.
