How the FocusPilot free trial works

Updated

Nothing is charged on the day you start your FocusPilot free trial. Before you confirm, the app shows the price and the date of the first charge. When the trial ends, Apple or Google charges the plan you chose unless you have cancelled by then, and it renews from there until you cancel.

Start a free trial

  1. On the plans screen, choose a plan. The button names the number of free days.
  2. Read the line under the button. It says “No payment today”, then the price and the date of the first charge.
  3. Tap the button and confirm in the App Store or Google Play sheet.

When you are charged

When the trial ends, Apple or Google charges the plan you chose, and it renews until you cancel. The length of the trial is set by the store for each plan, so always go by the date the app shows.

About a day before the trial ends, FocusPilot sends you a notification with the date of the charge. It is an account notice, so it cannot be switched off in FocusPilot, but it only reaches you if notifications for FocusPilot are allowed on your phone.

Cancel during the trial

To avoid the first charge, cancel before the trial ends. On iPhone, Apple asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial. The steps are in Cancel your FocusPilot subscription.

No trial offered?

If you had a FocusPilot subscription before, the store does not offer a second trial. The button then reads Restart subscription or Continue, and the line under it shows the price and how often it is billed. You are charged when you confirm.

If you were charged and did not mean to be, refunds go through Apple or Google. See Get a refund for FocusPilot.
