What is the Trajectory in FocusPilot?
Updated
The Trajectory is a score from 0 to 100 for where your behaviour is heading over the next seven days. Where the Focus Score measures one day, the Trajectory reads the last 14 days, so one good or bad day moves it only a little.
The three drivers
The Trajectory combines three drivers:
- Execution is how steadily you finish tasks, and how many you finish by their deadline.
- Focus is how much room your days left for deep work, from your Today’s Read answers.
- Recovery is your energy, clarity and the day’s demands, from Today’s Read.
Each driver looks at the last 14 days. A driver without enough data shows a dash.
What the Trajectory section on Insights shows
- The read for your timeframe, such as This week’s read: one row with a headline. Tap it to open the full Trajectory insight, with the drivers, the forecast for the next seven days and an action for the week.
- Forecast confidence: how far the forecast can be trusted today, as a percentage and a word, Forming, Reliable or Sharp.
- The driver that moves your score most: the share each of the three drivers carries for you, shown as one bar. The largest share is where a change moves your Trajectory most.
Tap either tile for a sheet that explains it. The section follows the timeframe at the top of Insights; on This year, it reads your last 90 days and says so.
Forecast confidence
More days of data and steadier patterns raise the confidence, and gaps in your check-ins lower it. In your first week it stays at 70 percent or below. Low confidence keeps the forecast close to today’s score; high confidence lets the coming days follow your trend.
Why your Trajectory is still calibrating
A new account needs a week of data first. Until then the section shows Calibrating with how far along you are, such as “Day 3 of 7”, and a day counts when it has a Today’s Read or a task scheduled on it.
The score also needs enough of each input:
| Driver | Needs |
|---|---|
| Execution | seven days with a scheduled task in the last two weeks |
| Focus and Recovery | at least three days with a Today’s Read |
When the week is done but one of these is short, the row says what is missing, for example “Your score needs 2 more Today’s Reads” or “Your score needs 3 more days with tasks”. Tap the row to go straight to Today’s Read or to adding a task.
