What does Plan My Day do?
Updated
Plan My Day turns your Today’s Read into a plan for the rest of your day. Tap Plan My Day at the foot of the read, and a Mentor chat opens with two to four timed blocks built from your real tasks and goals.
Get your plan
- Answer Today’s Read, or open today’s read if it is done.
- Tap Plan My Day at the foot of the read.
- A Mentor chat opens with your plan as its first message.
What does the plan look like?
The plan has a fixed shape:
- one or two sentences on the day’s situation
- a line starting “Strategic mode:” that names the approach
- “Today’s priorities:” with two to four numbered blocks, each with a time window, a task or goal from your account by its name, and the reason for it
- a short rationale and a closing line
How are the times chosen?
Times start from the clock on your phone. No block starts earlier than a few minutes from now, rounded up to the quarter hour, so a plan made at 14:00 leaves the morning out. In the evening, the plan is for tomorrow and the list reads “Tomorrow’s priorities:”.
How do I change the plan?
Reply in the chat, for example “Move the second block to tomorrow.”
The plan lives in the chat only. It does not change your tasks or add anything to your calendar, so copy the blocks you want to protect into your calendar yourself. Time blocking covers how to keep them from being booked over.
Can I talk the read through with the Mentor?
Yes. A small Mentor figure peeks out above Plan My Day. Tap it to open a Mentor chat about this read. Use it when a line does not match how the day feels, or to test the move before you commit to it.
