Add or change a Mentor Brief's action plan
Updated
Every Mentor Brief ends with an action plan: a goal with its tasks and deadlines. Tap Add goal to put it in Goals, or Talk to Mentor to change it first.
Add the action plan to your goals
- Open the Brief and read it to the end.
- Tap Add goal at the foot. The goal sheet opens with the plan filled in: the goal’s name, deadline, priority and category, and each task with its own date.
- Change anything that does not fit your week.
- Tap Add.
The goal lands in Goals with a note that it came from the Brief, and you work it like any other goal. See How do goals and tasks work in FocusPilot?
What happens to the Brief afterwards
- After you add the goal, the Brief shows as In progress.
- When you complete the goal, the Brief is marked done.
- If you never add the goal, the Brief closes as skipped 14 days after it was written.
Either way it stays on the overview under Last Brief, with its outcome.
Change the plan with the Mentor
- Open the Brief and tap Talk to Mentor at its foot.
- The chat opens with the Mentor’s reading of your Brief and a few questions you might ask next. Tap one, or say what does not fit, for example “I’m travelling Tuesday and Wednesday, move the deep-work blocks to Thursday.”
- The Mentor answers with a revised plan and an Update action plan button under it.
- Tap Update action plan. The Brief’s plan changes and the button reads Applied.
If the update does not go through, a line under the button says so. Tap Update action plan again.
