Write a journal entry in FocusPilot
Updated
To write a journal entry, open the Journal tab, tap the black +, pick a kind of page and start writing. The check mark at the top right saves it.
Write and save an entry
- Open the Journal tab and tap the black + at the top right. You can also tap + at the right end of the tab bar and choose Journal.
- New entry lists eight kinds of page. Pick one; The eight kinds of journal page explains each.
- Some kinds ask the three check-in questions first. Answer them or skip them. See What is the journal check-in?
- Write a title and the body.
- Tap the check mark at the top right to save.
Format your text
In the bar at the bottom of the editor:
- Aa opens the formatting options.
- The block button next to it adds a heading, a list, a checklist or a quote.
- + adds a photo, a voice note or a drawing. See Add photos, voice and drawings to a journal entry.
If an entry is not saved yet
The editor closes as soon as you tap the check mark, and the save finishes in the background. If FocusPilot cannot reach the server, the entry stays on your phone and the Journal shows it as “Not saved yet · kept on this phone” with Retry. Your text is kept until it is saved or you discard it.

Edit or delete an entry
- Press and hold the entry in the Journal.
- Choose Edit to open it in the editor, or Delete to remove it.
Deleting asks you to confirm first, because nothing written in the entry is kept.
