What data does Today's Read use?

Updated

Today’s Read is built from this morning’s answers and what FocusPilot already knows about your work: your goals, tasks and deadlines, journal check-ins, focus sessions, the health data you share, your Mentor Brief and your last fourteen reads.

Which data goes into the read?

  • this morning’s answers
  • your goals, tasks and deadlines
  • your journal check-ins
  • your focus sessions
  • the health data you share
  • your Mentor Brief
  • your last fourteen reads

Energy and clarity are always your own answers, never guessed. Tasks and deadlines come from Goals, day by day. With no goals yet, the parts about deadlines and the week ahead stay empty, so add a goal with a few dated tasks first.

Which health data does the read use?

Only if you connect a health app. Then the read can use:

  • iPhone (Apple Health): last night’s sleep, yesterday’s steps, your resting heart rate and your heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Android (Health Connect): last night’s sleep and yesterday’s steps

Each value is compared with your own average over the last seven days and shown as a plain number, such as the hours you slept or your HRV against your baseline. The read reports these numbers. It does not interpret them medically.

Without a health app, the read works from your answers and your work in FocusPilot.

Can I keep health data out of the Mentor?

Yes, without disconnecting your health app: turn off Share Health data with AI in Preferences, under Privacy. That removes your health data from every Mentor conversation. Today’s Read keeps working. The steps are in How FocusPilot uses AI, and how to turn it off.
