Disconnect a health app or change what it reads
Updated
You control FocusPilot’s access in the health app itself: the Health app on iPhone, Health Connect on Android. Turn data types off there, and FocusPilot stops reading them.
On iPhone
- Open the Health app.
- Tap your profile picture at the top right.
- Tap Apps under Privacy.
- Tap FocusPilot and turn data types on or off.
On Android
- Open Health Connect.
- Under Permissions and data, tap App permissions.
- Tap FocusPilot and turn permissions on or off, or remove them all.
In FocusPilot, Profile, then Apple Health or Google Health Connect, shows the same steps and a button that opens the right app.
What happens after you disconnect
- FocusPilot stops receiving new data of the types you turned off.
- Today’s Read, the Mentor Brief and Mentor chats work without health data. A Brief is written from the pillars you still use.
- To connect again later, follow Connect Apple Health to FocusPilot or Connect Health Connect on Android.
Keep health data out of the Mentor only
To keep your health data away from the Mentor while still seeing your sleep on Insights, turn off Share Health data with AI in Preferences, under Privacy. Mentor chats, Today’s Read and the Brief keep working without it. The steps are in How FocusPilot uses AI, and how to turn it off, and what happens to your health data is in How FocusPilot uses and protects your health data.
